Acceptable Use Policy
Rules for responsible use.
This policy protects customers, recipients, sender reputation, infrastructure, and the public. It applies to all use of MeSquared Marketing, including imports, AI generation, campaign content, sending, tracking, reporting, and integrations.
1. Core rules
- Use the service only for lawful business purposes.
- Comply with the Terms, Privacy Policy, Anti-Spam Policy, provider rules, and applicable law.
- Send marketing email only to recipients you are allowed to contact.
- Keep account, sender, billing, and contact information accurate and current.
- Cooperate with reasonable investigations of abuse, security, billing, or deliverability issues.
2. Prohibited lists and consent practices
- No purchased, rented, borrowed, shared, appended, scraped, harvested, or third-party lists.
- No sending to contacts who opted out, complained, bounced as invalid, or were suppressed.
- No importing contacts without a consent source or another valid legal basis.
- No hiding, forging, or misrepresenting the sender, reply path, subject line, or origin of a message.
- No single checkbox that combines marketing opt-in with unrelated consent unless applicable law permits it.
3. Prohibited content
You may not use the service to create, host, transmit, promote, or support content that:
- Is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or abusive.
- Promotes malware, phishing, credential theft, spoofing, evasion, or unauthorized access.
- Exploits minors or contains sexual content involving minors.
- Threatens violence, incites violence, or creates a risk to public safety.
- Violates intellectual property, privacy, publicity, export, sanctions, or consumer protection laws.
- Promotes chain letters, pyramid schemes, fake reviews, deceptive lead generation, or dishonest offers.
- Contains regulated or high-risk offers that we or our providers decline to support.
4. Restricted and high-risk use
We may reject, require additional review, or require a separate written agreement for industries or campaigns that carry heightened legal, privacy, or reputation risk, including financial products, lending, debt, healthcare, political campaigns, adult content, gambling, sweepstakes, cryptocurrency, affiliate marketing, lead resale, sensitive personal data, or unusually high-volume sending.
5. Sending quality requirements
You must maintain healthy sending metrics. We may pause or review accounts that exceed provider or internal thresholds, including high bounce rates, unsubscribe rates, spam complaints, blocks, invalid addresses, low engagement, or rapid list growth inconsistent with your business.
Mailgun/Sinch Email currently publishes baseline thresholds for sends through its infrastructure, including bounce rates at or below 5%, unsubscribe rates at or below 1.4% or 1% when unsubscribes exceed clicks, spam complaints at or below 0.08%, and blocks below 20%. We may enforce stricter limits when needed.
6. Security and platform abuse
- No probing, scanning, penetration testing, or vulnerability testing except under our Vulnerability Disclosure Program.
- No attempts to bypass plan limits, sender checks, preflight checks, approval gates, authentication, authorization, rate limits, or billing controls.
- No uploading malicious files, running automated abusive requests, scraping the app, or disrupting infrastructure.
- No sharing credentials or API keys outside your authorized workspace users.
7. Enforcement
We may block content, delay sends, require proof of consent, limit imports, throttle sending, suspend accounts, terminate access, preserve evidence, remove data, report abuse, or cooperate with providers and authorities when we believe this policy has been violated or risk is too high.
